the fist of God's fury
the might of his punishment
the voice of his doom ~ motto of the angels of destruction
Arch-Angel Mitchell, seen here causing an earthquake. Because that's what angels of destruction do! They destory things! The job was made for him, really.
Mitch: Just don't call me fluffy.
I spent half the day just toying with the motion blur on this, trying to get it to look right. I am very pleased with his sword though, I've been visualizing it for God knows how many years and this is the first time I've ever rendered it in any form besides literature.
Yes, the jewel in the center is glowing! It does that sometimes....
Edit: I took FallenSiren's suggestion and I think it looks much better now. You can't really tell the difference in the preview images though.
Veryvery pretty, I like; the tones are nice and warm...but I dunno about the blur. It just looks like it was enlarged by accident, to me. That's all, other than that, I love it. Sword....
*nods* It was supposed to look sort of like the entire thing was shaking. Y'know, 'cause of the earthquake and all. But it didn't come out quite right. Glad you like it anyway.

Yeah, I know whatcha mean. If you're using Photoshop, I would try something like having a majorly motion-blurred layer, then a clean layer on top next time. If there is a next time.

For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
